Nebbiolo, the Langhe’s native grape behind the prestigious wines of Barolo and Barbaresco, is a difficult one to work with, which is one of the reasons it’s not often grown outside of this area.
The region’s elusive and highly tannic wines rarely seek attention and, just like the makers, take time to reveal their complex character. But it’s always worth the wait. The echo of their elegance can linger for days after emptying the last glass.
