Many a trip to Beaujolais will often start in Mâcon, the historic birthplace of Chardonnay. It’s here in the south of Burgundy, where the sun shines warmer, that we’re drawn to when looking for white wines of charm and freshness; the kind that can be either enjoyed young or stashed away to relish in the future.
For this tasting, we set about sourcing some of today’s most compelling, pure and terroir-driven whites from the area. Their makers, some well-known names and others on the rise, choose to work with respect for the biodiversity of these soils, and a light touch in the cellar.
Join our head sommelier James Lewis in the dining room La Cachette to discover a selection of outstanding bottles from the Mâconnais, alongside snacks from our kitchen.
